I had some beautiful Irises in my garden and with the sun filtering through the petals I thought one would be lovely drawn in graphite.
There is no original drawing – at least there is one, but it has a huge drop of archival, magenta pigment ink going across it. A lesson learnt, don’t refill the Giclée printer whilst original artwork is in the vicinity.
I was so heartbroken that I still haven’t been able to put all the effort into drawing another one. But watch this space…….
