This nightshade was chosen for the Worldwide exhibition in Botanical art in 2018.

There are so many plants in the Solanum family – many of them very poisonous such as Deadly Nightshade. Although toxic the Bittersweet is not as quite as bad.
But there are several plants in this family that are rather good to eat – The potato, aubergine and tomato.
Note, the flowers are very similar in each of these species.
