I generally don’t paint plants in this manner, but there were so many parts of it that I wanted to draw attention to. Although the tepals (petals and sepals) are quite waxy looking, they are at the same time very delicate. I love the beautiful arches created by the emerging flower in the leaf axil and the pistil rising from the centre of the flower.
