This initially appears to be a very insignificant plant but it even impressed Carl Linnaeus who called it ‘Andromeda’ after a Greek goddess.
I became intrigued as it nestled in boggy mosses up in the Norwegian mountains between native Cranberries, bog blueberries and Cloudberry. Now and again I observed a tiny pink flower or a stem of leaves that reminded me of the Rosemary I had at home.
