My garden in England had a lot of Hellebores of varying colours. This one was called ‘Slate’, but how long it will hold onto its beautifully dark colour is anyone’s guess. A gardener once told me that Hellebores are notoriously ‘unfaithful’ to each other and every year I tried to limit the numbers of new plants that were produced.
In this instance the dark Hellebores set off the yellow of the daffodils very well.
